AUTUMN BAY

I was waiting by the old main line

With some flowers and my new coat

By the icy trail

My hands went cold

but I knew there would be

sun a head

The flowers froze

when the snow feel down

They are all withered and gone

My love is stronger than whatever

They may learn to grow

In Autumn Bay

Where the hills and the trees

are calling to me, stay

In Autumn Bay

From the first light

to dusk I would wait

For my love to come

to Autumn Bay

I heard a sound from far behind

The bells would start to sing

With a simple tone

so we all should know

There is a train coming in

With feet like stones

I was hanging on

I could stay to river runs dry

If the mountains fall on us below

I would stay here until I die

In Autumn Bay

Where the hills and the trees

are calling to me, stay

In Autumn Bay

From the first light

to dusk I would wait

For my love to come

to Autumn Bay

We left the city and I didn’t mind

We had to walk a few more miles

She finally spoke, with a simple tone

Something she had felt for a while

She looked at me

and said this cannot be

We strive a desperate way

I am going back home

to where I belong

I am leaving Autumn Bay

In Autumn Bay

Where the hills and the trees

are calling to me, stay

In Autumn Bay

From the first light

to dusk I would wait

For my love to come

to Autumn Bay
